Over the past seven years, a large part of my work has focused on supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and the physical and emotional transitions that accompany motherhood.

These periods often change not only how the body feels, but also how we relate to movement, strength, posture, energy, and trust within ourselves. My approach combines Pilates, movement education, rehabilitation-informed practices, and body awareness to help women rebuild strength and confidence in ways that feel supportive, intelligent, and sustainable.

Pilates is the foundation of my work, but over the years my approach has expanded far beyond exercise alone.

Working closely with postnatal clients — often alongside physiotherapists and rehabilitation professionals — has shaped a way of teaching that prioritises observation, gradual progression, nervous system awareness, posture support, breathing mechanics, and helping women feel safe and capable in their bodies again.

Rather than rushing people back into intensity, I focus on building strength through understanding, consistency, and intelligent movement progressions adapted to real-life bodies and lifestyles.

This means sessions are not only designed around “getting stronger,” but around helping the body tolerate and trust movement again — especially during periods of physical change, fatigue, pain, overwhelm, or recovery.

  • Yes. Sessions are adapted to your current stage, energy levels, movement history, and individual needs. Whether you are newly postpartum, navigating physical changes, or simply returning to movement after a long period away from exercise, the work is designed to support gradual rebuilding rather than pressure or intensity.

  • Many women seek support during periods of physical discomfort, instability, tension, or uncertainty around movement after pregnancy and birth. My approach is rehabilitation-informed and centred around thoughtful progressions, posture support, breathing mechanics, and helping the body tolerate movement more comfortably and confidently over time.

    Where appropriate, sessions can also work alongside recommendations from physiotherapists or other healthcare professionals.

  • Not at all. Sessions are designed around the individual rather than a fitness level or previous movement background. Many clients come to Pilates feeling disconnected from their bodies, unsure where to begin again, or frustrated by approaches that feel too intense or generic.

    The focus is not on performance, but on building understanding, awareness, strength, and confidence progressively and sustainably.

  • Yes. I have extensive experience working with clients alongside physiotherapists and rehabilitation professionals. Sessions can be adapted to complement existing rehabilitation plans and movement recommendations where appropriate.

  • This is far more common than many women realise, especially after periods of physical change, stress, pain, pregnancy, burnout, or long breaks from movement. The work is designed to help rebuild trust, awareness, and confidence gradually through supportive and intelligently structured movement practices.

  • Personal Training sessions must be paid in advance. After payment, you’ll receive instructions and access to book your preferred dates via the booking calendar.

  • Single sessions are valid for 3 months from purchase; a 3-session package is valid for 6 months. If a session is not booked within those windows, it expires without refund.

  • Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your scheduled time. Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows are charged in full.

  • Absolutely! Online PT with me is adapted to your current ability and goals — we start where you are and build from there.

  • Yes — sessions may be transferred to another person before their expiration date.

    Please email me (info@annakirs.com) with the new participant’s full name and email address. The remaining sessions will be reassigned once confirmed.

    Transferred sessions remain subject to the original expiration date and booking policy.

  • Personalised programs and adjustments are part of the service — if something isn’t working for you, we’ll refine it together.

  • Each Personal Program includes:
    • 1 × 55-minute Personal Training session
    • 3 x 20-minute recorded sessions designed specifically for your body and goals

    These recordings are yours to practice with independently.

  • In most cases, yes. After 4–8 weeks of practice, your body will be ready for progression.

    An updated program includes:
    • 1 new Personal Training session
    • 3 new tailored recordings

    This is booked and paid for as a new cycle. Personal Programs are not subscription-based — each phase is purchased separately.

    Think of it as working in structured phases. Each phase builds on the previous one.
